Can a steak be fun? Sure it can! Take the Tomahawk Ribeye for example. Nothing screams fun like a huge steak with a huge bone sticking out for you to hold. It is one gorgeous looking steak! Now, take it up a notch and go for a Wagyu version and you will be dreaming about this steak for a long time.

Thanksgiving Brisket

Thanksgiving brisket is a thing right? I don’t mean to sound unamerican and I don’t dislike turkey but I like brisket even more. I don’t get to cook it very often because beef can be a little spendy so I use the excuse of Thanksgiving being a special day to cook a special piece of meat. We still have turkey but it isn’t the highlight of the feast.

Bbq Pork & Chicken Rub

I’m a huge fan of the Memphis Dust rub but after using it for so long, I wanted something slightly different. Not too much but something with a little different flavor profile. I decided to incorporate some lemon and remove the ginger. I also tweaked some of the ratios. What I produced turned out to be a great tasting rub that goes on both pork and chicken.


  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ΒΌ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp lemon pepper
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon herb

Low Fat Smoked Summer Sausage

I love a good summer sausage. Pair it with some cheese and crackers and you have a great snack! It can be expensive though and it can also be pretty high in fat and calories. Fat isn’t a bad thing but I do watch my calorie intake and try to balance my fat/carb/protein intake. With that in mind, I wanted to try and make a slightly lower calorie version of this tasty snack. Partly so I could eat more of it at one time.
